## Description

Runway capacity for Tu-154 and Il-76 class aircraft, but no airlines and no scheduled destinations: Balakovo Airport (BWO/UWSB), 19 km south of Balakovo in Russia's Saratov Oblast, is a civil field currently without regular traffic rather than a working freight station. The city itself is industrial, with a nuclear power plant and chemical and fertiliser production, and its goods move mainly by rail, Volga river barge and road.
