## Description

Baikal International Airport (UUD/UIUU) now operates three terminals equipped for customs and border control, with a combined capacity above 800 passengers an hour, making it the principal air gateway to Russia's Republic of Buryatia and the Lake Baikal region. A new domestic terminal of more than 6,500 square metres, fitted with jet bridges and rated for up to 400 passengers an hour, opened at the end of 2024; the older buildings now handle international services to China, Mongolia and Thailand.
