Azacualpa is a small landing strip at around 1,200 ft in the western highlands of Honduras, used by light aircraft, agricultural operators and air ambulance flights. There is no scheduled service, no cargo handling and no customs facility, so the field has no commercial air freight function. Shipments from the region are handled through Palmerola International (XPL) near Comayagua and through San Pedro Sula-Ramón Villeda Morales (SAP), the country's principal cargo airport, which also connects to the seaport of Puerto Cortés.
