## Description

Ayni is a small mountain airfield at around 1,420 m altitude in the Zeravshan valley of Tajikistan's Sughd province. No regular scheduled service, cargo handling or customs office is established there, so its role in commercial air freight is very limited. Consignments for the region are routed via Dushanbe (DYU) roughly 100 km to the south or Khujand (LBD) to the north, and then trucked along the M34 mountain road through the Anzob tunnel.
