## Description

Aua Island Airport (AUI/AYND) is a basic island strip off the northern coast of Papua New Guinea, more than 200 km west of Manus. At best it sees small charter and supply aircraft; there is no freight terminal, no customs and no dangerous-goods handling, and most goods reach the island by boat. Air freight for the area is routed through Momote on Manus (MAS) and onward via the national gateway at Port Moresby Jacksons (POM).
