Opened in 1990 expressly for the car industry's cold-weather trials, Arvidsjaur Airport (IATA: AJR, ICAO: ESNX) in Swedish Lapland still lives by the winter season, when manufacturers test vehicles, brakes and tyres on the frozen lakes nearby.
