## Description

ADEMA, Madagascar's state airport operator, runs Arrachart Airport (DIE, ICAO FMNA) and handles ground services there, with part of that work moving to the newly created Madagascar Ground Handling (MGH). The field lies about 7.4 kilometres south of Antsiranana — the city long known as Diego Suarez — at the island's northern tip. Scheduled traffic is essentially Tsaradia's link to Antananarivo, roughly an hour and a half in the air, so air freight travels as belly cargo; there is no freighter operation and no dedicated cargo terminal. Customs are staffed on site and can process declarations at any time, including visas on arrival, and TotalEnergies Aviation supplies fuel. Volume freight for the region moves instead through Antsiranana's deep natural harbour, one of the largest in the world. For urgent or consolidated air cargo, Ivato (TNR) at Antananarivo is the reference point, with Nosy Be (NOS) as the northern alternative.
