## Description

Archer River airstrip is an unsealed bush strip on the Cape York Peninsula in far north Queensland, sitting beside the Peninsula Developmental Road. It supports bush flying, medical evacuation and wet-season resupply when the road becomes impassable, but has no commercial cargo handling, customs presence or scheduled service. Air freight for the peninsula is planned through Weipa (WEI) on the west coast or through Cairns (CNS), the nearest genuine cargo gateway some 600 kilometres to the south.
