## Description

Appointed in June 2025, CEO Nathan De Valck has set Antwerp International Airport (ANR/EBAW) on a course for more scheduled leisure routes, to Spain, Crete and Antalya among them. Sitting in the Deurne district a few kilometres east of Antwerp's centre — and close to the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, one of Europe's largest seaports — the airport carried roughly 239,500 passengers in 2022. Its short 1,510-metre runway suits business jets and regional aircraft rather than freighters, and the field is best known for business aviation and its secure 'Sky Park' for private jets. ANR runs no significant air cargo operation: freight for the region is handled at Liège (LGG), Belgium's main cargo hub about 100 km to the southeast, with Brussels (BRU) as a further option.
