## Description

The code TAB still points to Tobago, though the airport at Crown Point dropped the name Crown Point International in 2011 in favour of former prime minister A.N.R. Robinson (ICAO: TTCP). A new passenger terminal, built by China Railway Construction (Caribbean) at a reported cost of around US$144 million, took its first flights in July 2025 and is designed for up to three million travellers a year. Caribbean Airlines provides the year-round service from Port of Spain, with British Airways adding a seasonal link from London. On the freight side Swissport operates a cargo warehouse on site, but throughput is modest and consists largely of belly cargo plus supplies for the island's hotels and retailers. Larger consignments for Trinidad and Tobago clear through Piarco International (IATA: POS) on the main island and reach Tobago by ferry or feeder flight. Customs facilities exist at both airports, yet forwarders are best advised to treat TAB, roughly 11 km from Scarborough, as a delivery point rather than a transhipment base.
