## Description

Anápolis Airport (APS/SWNS) sits about four kilometres southeast of the city centre in the Brazilian state of Goiás and has been run by Infraero since July 2024, with the declared aim of developing it into a cargo terminal; first freight operations were scheduled for 2026. Established scheduled cargo services do not yet exist, but the site benefits from the adjoining DAIA agro-industrial district, home to central Brazil's largest pharmaceutical cluster, and from the Porto Seco Centro-Oeste dry port. Until regular freight operations begin, regional air cargo is handled at Brasília (BSB, roughly 140 kilometres away) and Goiânia (GYN, about 55 kilometres).
