## Description

Fresh fish, cut flowers and farm produce make up most of the airlifted goods leaving Amami Airport (ASJ) on Amami Oshima, an island roughly midway between Kyushu and Okinawa. Japan Air Commuter (JAL group) and Peach connect the island with Tokyo, Osaka, Kagoshima and Naha. There is no dedicated freight terminal — cargo travels as belly load on passenger aircraft, and heavy or bulky shipments arrive by ferry instead.
