## Description

Pittsburgh's first major airport is still flying: Allegheny County (IATA: AGC, ICAO: KAGC) served as the city's main field from 1931 to 1952 and keeps one of the era's finest Art Deco terminals. Today it is the FAA-designated reliever for Pittsburgh International, sitting in West Mifflin about 11 km southeast of downtown. Roughly 70,000 movements a year mix corporate jets, air taxi, flight training, air-medical flights and occasional military traffic, served by two FBOs and a respected aviation maintenance school. No air cargo is handled here; that business belongs to Pittsburgh International (PIT). What AGC offers is proximity to the city's boardrooms.
