## Description

Very little cargo leaves the Tarn by air, and Albi-Le Séquestre (LBI/LFCI) is a large part of the reason: scheduled service ended in 1995 and the field has handled no commercial freight since. Sitting about 2.5 km southwest of Albi at roughly 172 m elevation, it now serves a flying school, club flying and private and business aviation, and has no permanent customs office. Shippers needing air freight or clearance drive around 75 km west on the A68 to Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS), the nearest airport with cargo handling, where volumes are shaped heavily by the aerospace industry and Airbus Beluga movements.
