## Description

Tens of thousands of military movements a year, yet not a single commercial air waybill: Al Udeid Air Base (XJD) near Ar Rayyan is the largest US military installation in the Middle East and hosts the forward headquarters of US Central Command. The Qatar Emiri Air Force and Britain's Royal Air Force also operate from the base, which was built in the 1990s. There is no civilian cargo handling or customs clearance for commercial shipments at XJD.
