## Description

Seven airlines serve Al-Jawf (AJF/OESK) — Saudia, flyadeal, flynas, flydubai, Air Arabia, Air Cairo and Nile Air — yet the northern Saudi airport has no confirmed dedicated cargo terminal or scheduled freighter operation to match that route network. Ranked third in northern Saudi Arabia by passengers and movements behind Tabuk and Hail, it operates as a joint civil-military field serving Sakaka and Al-Jouf province. International belly cargo is therefore available in principle, mainly towards the Gulf and Egypt, but capacity per flight is limited to narrow-body hold space. Al-Jouf is Saudi Arabia's olive-growing heartland and also produces dates and wheat, so most outbound freight interest concerns temperature-controlled perishables. Recent terminal work has been aimed at passenger capacity rather than cargo infrastructure. Exporters usually truck to Riyadh (RUH, roughly 1,000 km) or Jeddah (JED) for reefer handling and customs clearance, with Hail (HAS, roughly 450 km) as the nearer regional fallback.
