flyadeal, flynas, Saudia and flydubai are the four carriers that keep Al-Ahsa International (HOF/OEAH) connected, giving Saudi Arabia's largest oasis region a terminal rated for roughly 2 million passengers a year since the 2024 expansion. The airport is run by Dammam Airports Company, the same operator as King Fahd International (DMM) 122 km to the northeast. Only the flydubai service to Dubai leaves the country, so international belly cargo capacity out of Hofuf is thin and schedule-dependent. No dedicated freighter terminal or resident air cargo handling agent has been confirmed at HOF; forwarders offer acceptance, warehousing and onward trucking rather than on-airport main-deck handling. Shipments of dates, agricultural produce and oilfield equipment from the Al-Ahsa area therefore move by road to Dammam, or to Riyadh (RUH, roughly 330 km) for wide-body freighter capacity.
