## Description

Aliya Moldagulova International, better known by its code AKX (ICAO UATT), sits barely 1.5 km south-west of central Aktobe and is the busiest airport in western Kazakhstan by passenger volume. More than 900,000 travellers were handled in 2023, and terminal and apron works have since lifted nominal capacity past 1.2 million a year. The airport operates a cargo facility for inbound and outbound consignments and mail, but no based freighter operator or scheduled all-cargo service is confirmed; goods move mainly as belly cargo on scheduled flights to Astana, Almaty and destinations in Russia and Turkey.
