## Description

Named after Adnan Menderes, the prime minister who dominated Turkish politics in the 1950s, Izmir's airport (IATA: ADB, ICAO: LTBJ) serves Turkey's third-largest city and the export economy of the Aegean coast. It lies at Gaziemir, some 18 kilometres south of the city centre, and is operated by TAV Airports.
