## Description

At 58,650 square metres and floating on a water-ringed platform, Semarang's terminal was Indonesia's first of its kind when it opened in 2018, built to green-building standards. Jenderal Achmad Yani is the international airport of the Central Java capital, where nine carriers — Super Air Jet, Lion Air and Batik Air among them — link some fourteen destinations. Its international status brings customs clearance, so cross-border air cargo can be processed on site. Even so, tonnage stays modest and travels mainly as belly load beneath passenger cabins. A logistical bonus is the adjacent Tanjung Emas seaport, which places sea and air freight side by side. For larger volumes, Central Java's forwarders still rely on the Jakarta (CGK) and Surabaya (SUB) hubs.
