> LOT Cargo is the freight division of the Polish airline Polskie Linie Lotnicze "LOT" S.A., using IATA designator LO and AWB prefix 080. The company belongs to the state-owned Polish Aviation Group and operates no freighters. It markets belly capacity on its own Boeing and Embraer passenger fleet, complemented by a Road Feeder Service out of Warsaw. For forwarders, LOT Cargo offers a direct route from Central and Eastern Europe to North America and Asia without transiting Western European hubs. Since April 2025 the carrier holds all four IATA CEIV certifications and is, by its own account, the second airline in Europe to complete the set.

## Overview

LOT Cargo is the freight division of the Polish airline Polskie Linie Lotnicze "LOT" S.A. and trades under the IATA designator LO, the ICAO code LOT and the AWB prefix 080. The company is registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000056844, has its seat at ul. Komitetu Obrony Robotnikow 43 in 02-146 Warsaw and belongs to the state-owned Polish Aviation Group (PGL). A dedicated Cargo and Mail Bureau has existed since 1995; according to the carrier's own account, LOT has carried freight and mail since operations began in 1929.

The operating model is pure belly cargo. The Polish Civil Aviation Authority, Urzad Lotnictwa Cywilnego, lists PLL LOT in its AOC register of 28 July 2026 under number PL-001 with unlimited validity and with approval for cargo carriage including dangerous goods. The certificate lists passenger types only: Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-8 and Embraer 170-100, 170-200, 190-100, 190-200 and 190-400. LOT operates no freighters of its own. The air network is complemented by a Road Feeder Service whose timetable is aligned with arrivals and departures in Warsaw.

The hub is Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW), with a dedicated cargo terminal at ul. Wirazowa 35. Regional offices exist in Krakow, Wroclaw and Poznan, and overseas offices in New York, Chicago and Beijing; elsewhere LOT Cargo works through agents and representatives.

Relevant for forwarders: since April 2025 LOT Cargo holds all four IATA CEIV certifications and a quality management system to ISO 9001:2015, certified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. Air waybills run under prefix 080, electronically as e-AWB. Tracking is handled via cargo-tracking.lot.com, claims via the lo.cargoclaims.aero portal.
