> KLM Cargo is the cargo division of the Dutch airline KLM N.V., with IATA code KL and AWB prefix 074. The division belongs to the Air France-KLM group and markets its capacity jointly with Air France Cargo and Martinair Cargo under the umbrella brand Air France KLM Martinair Cargo. It holds no air operator certificate of its own; the contracting party to the air waybill is KLM N.V. Through the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol hub forwarders reach a worldwide belly network with cool chains certified to IATA CEIV Pharma. ## Overview

KLM Cargo is the cargo division of the Dutch airline KLM N.V., part of the Air France-KLM group since the merger with Air France in 2004. KLM was founded on 7 October 1919 and is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name. The cargo division holds no air operator certificate of its own: the contracting party to the air waybill is KLM N.V. itself. Article 1 of its own General Conditions of Carriage for Cargo, issue of 3 July 2026, expressly describes KLM Cargo as the Cargo Division of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Capacity is marketed jointly with Air France Cargo and Martinair Cargo under the umbrella brand Air France KLM Martinair Cargo. This joint cargo business works with two hubs: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for KLM and Paris-Charles de Gaulle for Air France. KLM itself no longer operates freighters of its own. The group's main-deck lift comes from Boeing 777F aircraft of Air France and Boeing 747-400ERF and 747-400BCF aircraft of group subsidiary Martinair; KLM contributes the belly capacity of its passenger fleet, which as at 31 December 2025 comprised on long haul the Airbus A330-200 and A330-300, Boeing 777-200ER and 777-300ER as well as Boeing 787-9 and 787-10.

For forwarders the relevant identifiers are the IATA designator KL, the ICAO code KLM and the AWB prefix 074. Booking, schedule enquiry and shipment tracking run through the joint myCargo portal on afklcargo.com. KLM Cargo is a member of the SkyTeam Cargo alliance. The product range covers General, Express, Mail and Charter as well as specialised products for perishables, pharmaceuticals, live animals, valuables, art, dangerous goods, aerospace parts, vehicles and supervised shipments. The warehouse operations in Amsterdam and Paris and the flight operations are certified to IATA CEIV Pharma.
