## Overview

Iberia Cargo is the freight arm of Iberia Líneas Aéreas de España, S.A. Operadora, Sociedad Unipersonal, the Spanish network carrier headquartered at c/ Martínez Villergas 49 in Madrid. The company was founded on 28 June 1927 as Iberia, Compañía Aérea de Transportes and today belongs entirely to International Airlines Group (IAG). It holds its own air operator certificate; the Spanish civil aviation authority AESA lists it in its register dated 7 September 2026 under number ES.AOC.001, while Iberia's own legal notice uses the form E-AOC-001.

Iberia is a pure belly carrier with no freighters of its own. Since April 2011 the cargo capacity of its passenger fleet has been marketed not by Iberia itself but by IAG Cargo, the group's freight division, which was created by combining British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo. Booking, tracking, rates and claims therefore run through iagcargo.com; Iberia does not operate a separate cargo platform.

The fleet listed by AESA on 7 September 2026 comprises the Airbus A319-100, A320-200, A320neo, A321-200, A321neo, A330-200, A330-300 and A350-900. The hub and home base is Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD), described by IAG Cargo as the group's key connector to Latin America. At the Madrid hub IAG Cargo operates a Good Distribution Practice certified Constant Climate centre with separate 2 to 8 degree and 15 to 25 degree zones, plus a dedicated live animal area.

For forwarders: IATA designator IB, ICAO code IBE, AWB prefix 075. Air waybills in the 075 series are processed through IAG Cargo's systems, not through a separate Iberia cargo sales organisation.
