## Overview

EVA Airways Corporation, headquartered in Taoyuan, Taiwan, runs its freight business under the EVA Air Cargo brand. The company belongs to Taiwan's Evergreen Group and is a Star Alliance member. It serves the air freight market with its own freighter fleet and additionally markets the belly capacity of its passenger fleet.

For freighter operations EVA Air Cargo deploys nine Boeing 777Fs (as of August 2024). The fleet grew step by step: in May 2022 the company owned eight 777Fs, and the board of directors authorised the purchase of one further aircraft for delivery by the end of 2023. Since 2024 EVA has been fitting its entire freighter fleet with the drag-reducing AeroSHARK surface film developed by Lufthansa Technik and BASF; the work is carried out by group company Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation (EGAT) at the home base.

Home base and hub is Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), one of the world's largest cargo airports. From there EVA Air Cargo connects Taiwan's electronics and semiconductor industry with markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

For forwarders the relevant identifiers are IATA code BR, ICAO designator EVA and air waybill prefix 695. Booking, schedule enquiries and shipment tracking run through the carrier's own cargo platform brcargo.com, which EVA launched in April 2021.

In special cargo, EVA Air Cargo together with group companies Evergreen Airline Services (EGAS) and Evergreen Air Cargo Services holds all four IATA CEIV certifications: CEIV Pharma (2021, renewed 2024), CEIV Lithium Batteries (January 2025) as well as CEIV Fresh and CEIV Live Animals (November 2025). For shippers with pharma, perishables or lithium battery traffic out of Taiwan this is documented proof of quality.
