## Overview

Amerijet International, Inc. is a United States all-cargo carrier based in Miami, Florida, trading under the Amerijet International Airlines brand. David Bassett founded the company in December 1974, initially as a FAR Part 135 air-taxi operator with a single leased aircraft. Today Amerijet is an independent operator holding its own US FAR Part 121 certificate; it is neither a sales brand nor a belly marketer of a passenger airline.

Operations rest on an all-Boeing 767 freighter fleet. In December 2025 the company took delivery of a Boeing 767-300BCF registered N566NC, leased from Airborne Capital, and described it as the tenth converted 767 freighter in its fleet; a year earlier, in December 2024, it had spoken of twelve 767 freighters. Because these statements conflict, Frachtportal deliberately publishes no aircraft count.

The hub is Miami International Airport (MIA), the busiest cargo airport in the United States. From there Amerijet serves, by its own December 2025 account, 38 destinations across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, plus Europe. According to the carrier (as of December 2024) the Miami station comprises 235,600 square feet of dry warehouse space and 38,000 square feet of cooler space. Amerijet also runs road feeder services within the United States and out of Brussels.

The product range covers general cargo, perishables and seafood, dangerous goods, pharmaceuticals, live animals, valuables, personal effects, human remains and oversized or heavy freight. In 2017 Amerijet became the first US all-cargo airline to obtain IATA CEIV Pharma certification and renewed it for the second time in November 2023.
