# Air Arabia Cargo (IATA G9 · ICAO ABY · AWB 514)

> Air Arabia Cargo is the freight arm of Air Arabia PJSC in Sharjah (IATA G9, AWB prefix 514). It belongs to the Air Arabia group, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, and markets belly capacity on Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft only. ## Overview

Air Arabia Cargo is the freight arm of Air Arabia PJSC, based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It is not a standalone cargo airline: it markets the belly capacity of Air Arabia's passenger fleet and trades under IATA designator G9, ICAO code ABY and AWB prefix 514. Air Arabia PJSC was incorporated on 19 June 2007 as a Public Joint Stock Company, is listed on the Dubai Financial Market and holds Air Operator's Certificate AC-0002 issued by the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates. Its first flight departed for Manama on 28 October 2003.

The operating model is belly cargo on scheduled passenger services; the carrier operates no freighters of its own. As at 30 June 2026 the fleet comprised 96 owned and leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. That figure covers the entire Air Arabia group with its operating bases in the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Egypt and Pakistan. The network spans more than 206 routes from six hubs: Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, Morocco, Egypt and Pakistan.

Two points matter for forwarders. First, the cargo site cargo.airarabia.com covers several group carriers – alongside G9 also Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (3L), Air Arabia Egypt (E5) and Fly Jinnah (9P); the tracking tool therefore offers a choice of prefixes, with 514 applying to Air Arabia PJSC. Second, handling in Sharjah is performed by Sharjah Aviation Services at the Sharjah Freight Center, with five cargo terminals, 32,000 square metres of floor space, chiller and freezer rooms and a valuables strong room. The IATA CEIV Pharma certification is held by the handling agent, not by the airline. Products on offer are general cargo, perishables, valuables, courier shipments, the express product Arabian Express Services and mail.
